About Me/Dave Gordon.
My name is Dave Gordon and I own and run Gordon Performance Nutrition. My aim is to try and improve your sporting performance by optimising your nutrition. This can be achieved a number of different ways, either by long term dietary improvements or short term strategies specific to match/race days.
No two sports people are the same, so my service is tailored to you. There are no cookie cutter diets or Control C+P plans. I work with every athlete on an individual base to formulate the most effective and efficient way forward. I will optimise your nutrition to make you stronger, faster and more robust. Your recovery from hard training sessions will be better and quicker. Your race day or match day performance will improve.

I have been a Charted Physiotherapist for fifteen years and I am recognized as a Clinical Specialist in Musculoskeletal Therapy by the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists. I have worked in private practice in Galway City for the last ten years. I have rehabbed and treated athletes of all levels in that time.

I have been a lifelong sportsperson, I played gaelic football and rugby through my teens and twenties. More recently I have competed in road bike racing all around Ireland. Through my experience in sports and trying to better my personal performance I became increasingly interested in my own nutrition. I learned through trial and error the nutrition strategies that seemed to help my own performance. Covid gave me the opportunity to formalise my learning and understanding in this area. With work, social and sport events shut down, I completed a Masters in Sports and Exercises Nutrition. And ultimately membership of the Sports and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENr).

I feel that I am an in unique position to offer athletes a holistic and in-depth understanding of the positive effects that performance nutrition can play in injury/illness prevention, optimising body composition, recovery, and ultimately fulfilling sporting potential.
